LexAnon

Security

Enterprise control built into every AI interaction

LexAnon is designed so confidential source data does not need to leave your organisation for transformation, while restoration mappings remain encrypted and auditable on your server.

Data residency

Detection, transformation and restore run on the LexAnon server you operate—typically on-premises or in a private network. Lawyers pair the Chrome extension with that server using one-time codes. Source documents are not required to be processed in a LexAnon public cloud.

When a lawyer uses a public AI product, they send only the protected document they choose to upload. The encrypted placeholder→original mapping stays in the server vault and is not exported as part of normal restore.

Control principles

Local processing

Sensitive information can be detected and transformed inside the organisation’s environment on your LexAnon server.

Zero mandatory public cloud

LexAnon does not require confidential source documents to be processed in a public cloud. Pairing and jobs stay on your network.

Encrypted restoration data

Placeholder→original mappings are stored AES-256-GCM encrypted in the server vault and are not exported from that vault.

Policy enforcement

Organisations can define categories to detect, exclusions for known false positives, placeholder language and output modes.

Auditability

Analyse, apply and restore actions are logged; optional verification reports on the anonymised output.

Model independence

Change or combine AI providers as technology and organisational requirements evolve—LexAnon sits above the model layer.

Professional obligations

LexAnon provides an operational control layer for confidentiality, data protection, privilege and internal AI policies—so legal organisations can adopt AI without abandoning their professional responsibilities.

Your legal knowledge is a strategic asset. LexAnon helps organisations use it with AI without unnecessarily transferring it outside their control.

Questions buyers ask

Where is confidential information processed?

On your organisation’s LexAnon server (typically on-premises or in your private network). Source documents are not required to go to a LexAnon public cloud.

What leaves the organisation?

Only the protected document you choose to send to an AI tool. The encrypted restore mapping stays on the LexAnon server.

How is attorney-client privilege supported?

By transforming privileged content before it reaches external AI, keeping mappings under organisational control and requiring human review for restore.

Can we change AI providers?

Yes. LexAnon is model-independent. Lawyers can use public, private or local models with the same control layer.

Is every interaction auditable?

Server-side jobs record analyse/apply/restore activity. Optional post-anonymisation verification adds a second review signal on the output.
